Moorings
Hallingbury Marina offers over 130 secure moorings for narrowboats and river cruisers on the River Stort, just above Tednambury Lock, on the Essex and Hertfordshire border between Bishops Stortford and Sawbridgeworth. Moorings are offered on a leisure-only basis and access is via a fixed pontoon for finger moorings and bankside for lineal.
All narrowboat moorings are powered via a meter (electricity usage charges apply) and many cruiser moorings are offered with shore power too. Parking for owners’ vehicle is offered within the marina and visitors parking just outside the marina.
Moorings are offered on a permanent basis (leisure-only) but sometimes can accommodate temporary moorings of a few weeks or more. Please note: we cannot offer overnight moorings.
Water points are accessible from the moorings and year-round (see marina office opening hours) gas oil, gas, coal, pump-out and chandlery services are available. There is also a dry dock available for hire – please see dry dock details.
