COVID-19 NOTICE – The marina is open for all our moorers to visit but we ask for visitors to continue to follow government advice. Further, by law NHS Trace & Trace is place and everyone is required to follow the NHS Track & Trace instructions displayed in the marina on arrival.
Other than bank holidays, the sales office currently open Mon to Fri from 08:00 – 15:00 for essential services such as fuel sales and pump-outs. We would appreciate prior arrangement of your arrival by phone/email. Gates will be locked at all times but please call the mobile number on the main gate if arriving by car/foot for service.
We are also continuing with dry-docking where owners can get their boats to us.
Social distancing (2m minimum) is requested and we have increased routines to disinfect commonly touched surfaces but this does not replace regular hand-washing and other government recommended hygiene practices.
Hallingbury Marina provides moorings for narrowboats and river cruisers, in beautiful settings on the River Stort on the Essex & Hertfordshire border. Family-run for over 50 years, Hallingbury Marina also provides many services including, water, fuels, pump-out, cassette emptying, chandlery and dry docking.
Little Hallingbury Mill, built in 1874, is a Grade II Star listed watermill and stands to the south end of the marina; its mill race provides the moorings comprising Hallingbury Marina. It’s free-form shape, well-tended grassed amenity areas and mature trees and shrubs makes for a great marina with picturesque rural views.

Little Hallingbury Mill provides home to a guesthouse, restaurant and venue for small conferences, small weddings and parties. Also next to the marina is The Signature Spa, a luxury health & beauty day spa.
